What I’m listening to on any given week typically comes down to how much time and mental energy I have to give. But I need my podcast fix on the daily. Instead of listening to music in the car I’m choosing to use that time a little more wisely to enrich my mind
No matter what you want to listen to – there’s going to be a podcast about it.
Bobo and Flex (click for link)
Bobo and Flex are on a quest to decolonize our minds, intersect our feminism, but most importantly, give us all the tools necessary to stay away problematic boys! My two fave episodes chat about ghosting & the life of an influencer. This duo has such a fun yet informative vibe that really gets you thinking and reviewing your life & the impact actions can have.
Manifestation Babe (Click for link)
Manifestation Babe is your daily sip of personal development for all things manifesting, mindset & money. My advice is to skip forward the first minute until she gets into the topic, as it can be a little advertorial. (but relevant as they are about programs she’s running)
Her personal story is inspirational and super relatable. Kathryn will convince you to believe in the law of attraction but more importantly, in yourself.
The MFCEO Project (click for link)
Andy Frisella is an entrepreneur, CEO, author, and public speaker. He’s built a $100+ million empire from nothing; and on the MFCEO Project he’s going to show you how to do that, too. His podcast covers entrepreneur basics like money, marketing, and management.
I will be the first to admit that I don’t respond well to men telling me what to do. He yells and rants a lot. In a way that gets you to your core. Kinda like a drill sergeant yelling directly in your face whilst you are holding a 100kg backpack standing in the rain. On one leg. Sometimes his arrogance can be a bit full on. I often think that he needs a big hug.
But his passion makes me want to level up my life. Set bigger goals. Be better and do better. Tell people to fuck off. If you listen to this, be prepared for the real and raw truths hit hard after to you listen to even one episode.
His podcast doesn’t spam you with ads even though he is the number one ranked podcast across many platforms. All he asks is that you tell a friend and drop him a rating on itunes. So this is me paying it forward by sharing it with you babes.
MFCEO – Mother Fucking CEO (thats what it stands for)
Ladies We Need To Talk (Click for link)
Ladies, We Need To Talk is a podcast for women, by women, that isn’t afraid to dive head first into the tricky topics we often avoid talking about. Join host Yumi Stynes as she tears open the sealed section on life. With sensitivity, personal stories, and serious smarts, this is for women who feel the squeeze between work, their private life, and their pelvic floor.
Last year I stumbled across her ‘mean girls’ podcast at a time where a bunch of gutless women who I thought were my friends went MIA (due to collectively working on their own “mental health issues”) and ghosted me. It was very public and incredibly hurtful.
So if you have had friendship struggles and had to deal with bullying/being isolated then this is a great podcast to listen to.
Also this podcast came out on my birthday. I really think that the universe wanted me to listen to this episode back in November last year.
Conversations with Richard Fidler (Click for link)
Conversations draws you deeper into the life story of someone you may, or may not, have heard about — someone who has seen and done amazing things.
I initially stumbled across this program on the radio whilst on a long drive and it was the only channel that would tune in. For an hour I listed to a seaweed scientist share her story. Super interesting.
I didn’t realise that the story would include a detailed recap of how she got scalped whilst working at her seaweed farm. I had to mute the show because I almost vommed. A few times actually. Which my family finds hilarious because my bro is a Dr and my Mumma is a nurse. Dad and I are the squeamish ones in the family.
When I have sushi with friends I always end up telling them about the history of Nori seaweed and the fun facts I learnt from this particular podcast.
