This weeks Aussie Curves outfit theme is ‘Body Con’. So, I hear some asking what is body con? At the end of the day you can interpret it as you like.
For me the ‘body conscious’ fashion movement is all about highlighting what you have instead of hiding it. Generally it’s made from stretchy material and worn tight.
I wore my first ever body con last year at the 2013 Full Figure Fashion Week in NYC. It was terrifying. Seriously. (see my first ever body con outfit post here)
Slowly I have learned to embrace the body con trend and now I wear body con dresses multiple times a week. Sometimes out for dinner and other times I simply pop a blazer over the dress, layer with a necklace and head out to business meetings.
In the photos below I’m wearing a body con from ASOS Curve. It’s made from soft material, has a great neckline for my large bust and comfy to wear. As the dress is quite dark I love to add pops of colour highlighting the purples in the dress.
