All us Aussie Curves girls are rocking out in our maxi skirts this week.
I’m working nightshift out at a mine site this week so no pretty backgrounds for my photos and I forgot to pack my accessories and belt {which is what happens when you pack at 3am}. Still a cute outfit without the embellishments
The big secret….. I don’t own a maxi skirt and every now an again I convert my dresses by folding the top of it down. I pair the ‘skirt’ with a tank top and add a belt to complete the outfit.
Having such a large bust, the maxi skirt isn’t a style that I wear very often. I love to show my shape and often maxi skirts make my waist disappear = BOOBS. An outfit of a skirt and BOOBS {and totally not complaining that I have a big bust}. In saying that, paired with the right colours or patterns and a belt to break up the clothing a maxi skirt CAN look fabulous.
The dress was $10 from Kmart and doesn’t fit my bust. I will eventually get around to converting it properly to a skirt but for now a simple tuck works.
I was so impressed with how many ‘standard’ clothing items at Kmart are now going up to a size 18-20. The low prices are certainly appealing ~ there’s not too many stores where you can create an outfit for $36 {minus accessories and bra etc}
Dress ~ Kmart $10
Shoes ~ Kmart $19
Tank Top ~ Kmart $8
Belt ~ it’s actually the tie from my dressing gown
Earrings ~ River Island UK
Watch ~ Guess
Do you wear Maxi skirts? What do you wear on top?
