I’ve been looking forward to the resort theme because well, I have lived in a five star resort for the last 1.5 years on a tropical island in the Whitsundays. Any time staff are not in uniform we have to be in ‘resort attire’ which generally excludes rubber thongs/flip flops, showing cleavage (because we are classy and all), denim, fitted clothing and anything strappy.
The dress code is taken very seriously ~ because if you don’t wear the correct clothing whilst in guest contact areas you can loose your job which means you loose your home too. And for island life this is referenced to as being NBO’d ~ Next Boat Off. {and big brother is ALWAYS watching}
It’s the wet season in the Whitsundays {very humid + 32degrees} so it is important to wear lightweight clothing.
Kaftans are so easy to throw over your swimwear after lazing by the pool. Add a floppy hat and some big sunnies and BAM total resort glam. No NBO’s for me!

What do you like to wear whilst on holiday?

You’ve got this week’s theme nailed – great looks! We stayed at Long Island on Christmas holidays a few years ago and we wondered what the people who worked there did in their spare time… do you get bored of it?
CurvySam says
Thanks Pam, the staff located on islands close to the mainland generally hop off the island for spare time as there’s so many connections. I’m a bit further out so the island has a huge staff area which always has activities on. Days off are fun, lots of watersports, day trips to the reef or shopping in Airlie Beach. You can go a little stir crazy at times but generally everyone pulls together and makes life interesting.

You look great! I KNEW you’d nail this week. It was a given, right? Haha. Love it.

Thanks Sug! I can do stock standard but anything too fashiony freaks me out haha
