48 hours is hardly enough time to explore an entire city, especially one as big and diverse as Melbourne.
But, sometimes 48 hours is all you have, so you gotta make it work! That being said, I grew up in Melbourne so I will have to write a specific post about my fave places to visit. This trip was all about fashion.
First up on my to do list was to visit the true fashion capital of Melbs. Myer in the city.
As soon as I landed I stepped off the place and headed straight to meet the team at the Myer Style suites in the CBD where I tried on quite a few items from Wayne Cooper & the extended range for Tokito Curve. It was nice to be back in Myer, seven years ago when I worked in the city, every Thursday I would walk down to Myer and City Chic to check out the new arrivals.
Get ready for lots of photos! I have linked the outfits below.
Tokito Curve – Wrap midi dress in snakeskin (size 20) matched with a Tokito (straight sized L) faux fur coat
(and yes I’m ready for you gals to give me flack for wearing animal print. But this is such a pretty colour, I just couldn’t resist.
Tokito Curve – Wrap midi dress in poppy ditsy (size 20) matched with Wayne Cooper Shawl Collar Fur Coat Bordeaux size L
I purchased this dress from Myer before I arrived to Melbourne but just had to pop it on again with some killer boots and a leather jacket to mix up the feminine look.
Wayne Cooper Woman Black Mystique Wrap Midi Dress
Wayne Cooper Soft Pink Cropped Fur Jacket
Wayne Cooper Woman Pleather Biker Jacket (size 18)
Wayne Cooper Woman One Shoulder Ruffle Jumpsuit (size 20)
Tokito Curve lilac check pant (size 20) + Tokito Curve abi one button blazer (size 20)
Tokito Curve Double Pocket Shirt – Blush
HUGE thanks to the team at Myer for taking on all the feedback. I truly believe that they are working hard to change things up and to bring us curve girls more options. The Tokito range is super new – and if you love animal print then you should check them out. Size wise I found them to be pretty spot on. Some of the garments are quite short but coming into the cooler weather I think a pair of stockings would look great underneath.
After my epic try on I had to drop off my bags at the hotel and quickly get changed. I travelled in a super comfy Erin & Louise dress (old) and got changed into my new Embody Denim ‘Cleo Wrap Dress’. #gifted
One thing I love about Melbourne is that it has so many adorable boutique hotels. I checked into the Ovolo Laneways and immediately put the robe on for five minutes and talked to Alexa who put music on. Because #luxury right?
(Alexa is a digital device that does all sorts. Probs listens into every convo…technology is amazing and scary at the same time)
That night I headed into Madame Brussels for a few cheeky drinks with other influencers.
This bar has always been one of my faves to visit. You might feel as though you’ve just stepped out of Alice’s rabbit hole into a fantasy world of peculiar characters and illusions.
The entrance is complete with pink walls, garden chaises (some heart-shaped), wicker sun lounges, white picket fences and faux greener-than-green grass all year long. The smiling staff decked out in their tennis whites will welcome you and happily prepare the house specialties of Pimm’s, punch, rosé & snacks. Dogs are also welcome – need we say more?
In the morning I met with my friend Peta-Gai who is the founder of Iridis Cosmetics
We met many years ago and have become good friends. I just love being connected to so many inspiring women.
Oh and I found a cool wall. What you didn’t see was that I balanced my phone on a milk crate #skills for the gram.
Wearing and old SimplyBe jacket (2016) a White DeCuba shirt in the biggest size they make, an Estelle skirt from Myer than I purchased a few days prior on sale for $60 (score!) and my trusty white BigW shoes.
The main event of the day was with Priceline at VAMFF where I attended a few shows with other influencers and got pampered in their beauty bar which was PINK. I could have seriously lived in there. I was so distracted I forgot to take photos.

After the event I went back to the hotel and got UberEats then flew back to Brisbane the next day. Wild hey!
It was a whirlwind trip that I’ll never forget. Big thanks to Priceline for including me.
BUT OMG it was COLD in Melbourne. Before I come back I will totally be buying some new clothes. In particular some pants because I seem to have lost them in my house somewhere.
So whats up next for my wardrobe? WELL TEAM.
Being a fashion lover, I’m always on the lookout for new outfits. Here’s five wintery items that I have my eye on at the moment.
I have recently discovered that Good American go up to a size 24! And they ship to Aus.
These are the high waisted jeans and by looking at the models it looks like a great fit across the tummy area. I’ve been following the #goodsquad to see how other curve babes have styled their jeans. Social is great for keeping it real because by following a # you can see everyday people share their experiences which I love.
Heart Song Embroidered Jacket from Birdsnest (up to a size 22)
This unique, fully embellished jacket is perfect for adding some bohemian glam to your new season wardrobe.
Dress it up for after dark, the mix of velvet and exquisite embroidered detail gives it a unique look that is hard to pass by. Silky structured pants and a lace top teamed with this beauty elevates your after dark look to something so much more. Dress it down for winter days with your favourite denim and boots.
This is the ASOS Curve easy relaxed blazer in textured jersey. Also in my fave colour at the moment so this is totally on my wish list and it goes up to a size 28.
Ribbed Striped Knitted Dress From Marks & Spencer (who now ship to Aus)
A gorgeous piece for your seasonal wardrobe, this knitted dress boasts a stunning pattern over its skirt to be a real statement. With short sleeves and a ribbed knit to fit and flatter your figure, this maxi dress is a beautiful way to dress for those evenings out when teamed with heels or to simply wear with sneakers for ultra chic weekend wear.
Colorblock Column Skirt from Eloquii
This column skirt’s contrasting colours and fitted body are ready to be paired with my black ankle boots and faux fur jacket.
