Is it hot in here? Or is it just you
Let’s face it, sometimes feeling confident in the bedroom can be hard. Like, really hard. You might ooze confidence during a work presentation, but it’s a totally different ballgame when it comes to the bedroom
Sexual confidence is not about being “good” in bed. It’s not about having ripped abs or big boobs. And it doesn’t come from having a lot of sex.
While it can mean different things to different people, at its core sexual confidence is feeling comfortable in your body, knowing you deserve pleasure and being able to articulate what you enjoy — as well as listening to the needs of your sexual partner.
Here’s my top tips to feeling behind closed doors
Channel the most confident person you know
If you can’t hype yourself up. Pretend you are someone else, channel a bad bitch.
Want to whip your hair around? You are now Beyonce. Want to shake that ass? Now you are Nicky Minaj. Step outside the box and portray a totally new persona whose sexiness you want to emulate.
Get warmed up
Take some time to get in the mood….physically. Sometimes it can go from 0 to 100 once you step into a room or show off your outfit.

Communicate
Is something feeling amazing? Tell them. Want it a little harder or faster? Communicate that to your partner. Or need some feedback yourself? Ask them.
Wear something that makes you feel good
Sure you look great in your underwear, or even your cute PJs. But wearing something that is totally not you will make you feel like you’re playing the role of a seductress.
Blast a libido-pumping song
This is not the time for Ed Sheeran’s music! Listen to something that would make you lose your inhibitions and dance like crazy in a club. Not only will it drown out any nerves (and any awkward noises), it will elevate the vibe.
Spotify has so many playlists you can choose from to fit the vibe.
Be comfortable
Worried about not being able to hold yourself up? Don’t worry, there’s furniture position enhancers and bondage props made specifically for that. Check them out here
Be aware of your self-talk
We tend to get caught up in a cycle of negative self-talk. If you are telling yourself you look bad then your body hears all those harsh words.
It may feel silly, but tell yourself that you are amazing, that you look incredible, that you are a goddess.
Believing positive things about yourself is key to feeling comfortable in your body. Confidence is a big part of feeling good.
Set the mood
When it comes to setting the mood, lighting is everything.
So, what exactly is sexy mood lighting? Sexy mood lighting is all about creating an ambience that is both inviting and alluring. Think dim, soft lighting that casts a warm and inviting glow. Candles are always a great option for creating mood lighting, especially in the bedroom, but there are plenty of other ways to achieve the same effect.
But if things are going to get super wild. Use battery-operated candles! The last thing you need is a bedroom on fire….or loungeroom depending on the location of your fun.
