NEWSFLASH – Zara has oversized items that fit plus size.

When you are plus size, Zara isn’t a store us curvy babes ever step into.

There was a time where I’d pop in to check out the accessories but frankly it was torture. If you aren’t plus size the best way to explain it is it’s like being in a candy store where all you can buy is an apple. Like HALF an apple.

I generally don’t bother stepping into main stream retail stores. Because it’s all so fabulous but it won’t fit my body. And it feels shit.

If it wasn’t for my friend Mel @curvycartel I would not have stepped into Zara. She had purchased a pink dress before we caught up and said it would fit me. I laughed and said YEAH RIGHT. Then tried it on over my clothes in the middle of the shopping centre. Guys, a size SMALL dress fit me.

So naturally I popped into the store, purchased the same dress in a large and the next day we took photos.

Just goes to show that you can’t entirely write off mainstream retailers.

I was in a rush but tried on a few more items. They were all a Medium size and I’m generally an 18. I did come across a few items that said they were a size 18 but to me they looked like a size 14 and I didn’t try them on.

Head to the Zara website and search for oversized items.  138 items pop up however there’s so many more items that us plus size babes could fit into.

If you take anything from this post its that retailers are slowly recognising that larger sizes in main stream retail stores sell out first.   Every now and again pop into a store that you wouldn’t normally shop in and check out what they have.

You never know what you might find.
