I first spotted this ‘Jackie Leather Trim Dress’ at the Curvy Couture Roadshow in Melbourne where Eder & Berk {formerly Meri
By Design) featured their Autumn/Winter2015 collection on the runway.
I’ve posted about Meri By Design before {here} but their new seasons range certainly stood out.
Being a 29year old in the corporate world, who looks a lot younger that 29, I’m always on the look out for ‘boss ass bitch’ outfits that aren’t 100% black.
{yes sorry Mum I swore again and I’m sure I will appreciate looking young when I’m older}
You know that killer outfit that has the right amount of class and sass? You feel like the boss, and people take you even more seriously when you look like a boss too.
Eder & Berk have nailed it. Complete boss ass bitchness. Their range is clearly designed to be modern and stylish for women who take pride in their appearance and dress for success. It’s elegant, its edgy and high quality.
AND their range goes from a size 8 to a 24. Things are seriously changing in the industry thats for sure.
So, back to the dress. I’ve taken some photos wearing the dress in different locations. Mainly because lighting and background can distract from the garment.
I love the abstract paneling and elongating lines. Made from ponte material this is definitely a dress for the cooler months. Ponte (pronounced pin-tee) is a thick, double-knit fabric with two-way stretch. Two way stretch is important because it moulds to your body-shape and holds you in at the same time = genius.
Generally I’m a size 18 however I’m wearing a size 20 and could have probably gone up to a size 22 as I found it a little tighter on my stomach than I would normally wear.
Did I mention comfort? Sooo comfy. Comfort and stretch is an important factor to me, as in the events industry I often work long hours doing a range of activities. Having stretch in garments is handy when being hands on setting up events.
I added a pop of cherry red lipstick {from Iridis Cosmetics of course!) and a Wayne Cooper bag purchased from Myer that conveniently fits my laptop. Win win fashion and convenience.
I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pair of red shoes. Which I also complained about when I wore this outfit too.
Total boss ass bitch dress right?
