There’s nothing better than home made brownies. They are SO super easy to whip up and leave the house smelling extra delicious. Serve with ice-cream as dessert or perfect with a cuppa on a rainy day. Or sunny day. {practically any time of the day is a good time to eat brownies}
And of course they are meatless so perfect for Mondays. Figured I’d throw a sweet tooth recipe into the mix.
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup cocoa
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup nuts, chopped (I like walnuts)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate cooking bits
Method
- First, preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
- Lightly grease and line a 23x30cm baking tin (or whatever you can find) with baking paper.
- Next, beat butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time
- Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder and add it to the mixture. Beat it slowly until flour mixture and butter mixture are incorporated, add chocolate chips & nuts then mix again.
- Pour into pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer poked into the middle comes out clean.
- Set aside and let it cool for at least 10 minutes. This gives the mixture time to settle to extra soft yumminess.
Then simply cut up and enjoy!
