The influence of kimonos are being seen everywhere. Whatever the season there’s a kimono that can be styled to suit any outfit.
The trend may not be for everyone but for me it is perfectly comfy and boho (kinda like wearing a fabulous bathrobe!) and easy to dress up or down.
Whether you go to a festival, having a night out with your friends, or just go for some shopping, it’s the kind off trend which suits many occasions and is totally up for interpretation.
I’m wearing Aussie brand Harlow ‘Sweet freedom fringed kimono’ which made from a sheer chiffon fabric with a raised matt black metallic like polka dot detailing. This is a traditional oversized kimono silhouette featuring luxurious 35 cm fringing (which adds extra drama to an already amazing silhouette)
To keep it elegant and minimalistic I paired the kimono with Harlows ‘Essential slip dress’ which is made from super stretchy. It’s made from heavy weight Australian knitted cotton/elastane, has a slim fit, bound neck and straps and sits just on the knee.

Because the kimono has so much detail, simple chunky heels were the only way to go matched with a longline necklace from NY2YOU (who specialise in plus size jewellery) and slim belt to break up the bulk of the black.
Denim shorts are the most foolproof way to rock the fringe kimono in a casual way. For the fashion risk taker, pair the kimono with this season’s printed slouchy pants. However, they can also be easily styled with your favorite pair of skinny jeans. Or simply pop over a dress like I have.
