This weeks #AussieCurves theme is peplum
Peplums are a great addition to every woman’s wardrobe. Not only are they flattering but they give you great shape at any size.
Now here’s some fun facts for you
– For a dress, skirt or top to be classified as a peplum, it must have a ruffle or piece of skirted material attached to the bodice of a dress or the waist area of a top or skirt.
– The word “Peplum” is derived from the Greek word peplos (meaning shawl).
It’s been a full on week moving so I thought I would share my Hope and Harvest peplum skirt that I wore in June to the Bloomingdales charity event in conjunction with NYC Full Figure Fashion Week. This is from the Hope & Harvest 2013 spring summer range which is due to be released any day now.
After the event my good buddy Jen {blog Jasifer Lions Club} and I went out for dinner and drinks at Times Square NYC. (photos taken after a couple of cocktails)
On the way home from the USA, I flew directly to Melbourne and went straight into a photoshoot with Iridis Cosmetics and wore the fabulous skirt again. Such a fun day!
Here’s come of the outtakes taken on my iphone.
