The tropical heatwave has arrived in here in Far North Queensland and is only going to intensify.
It’s fair to say that I’m much more fashionable in the cooler months without the suffocating humidity. Summer in FNQ is all about wearing the loosest and most breathable fabric you can. The upside of living up here is it’s tropical all year round.
I am loving that designers have embraced bold blooms and leafy botanical prints for this spring summer season.
As soon as I saw this City Chic dress I knew I had to buy it. It’s colourful. It’s tropical. It’s totally me.
This gorgeous jungle-esque piece features spaghetti straps with off the shoulder sleeves, V neck line, elasticated waistband, removable waist sash, all over chiffon handle, hi lo skirt hem and is lined.
Because of my large bust size, I tend not to wear strapless bras because I feel that my chest becomes too much of a feature for an outfit. The neckline of this dress was lovely and loose. When the waist strap was tied around my waist it gave me a great shape and accentuated my curves in all the right ways.
For those who are a little self conscious of their arms then this is the dress for you. The flattering V neck shape breaks up the bulk of your chest, you can show off those sexy shoulders whilst covering the top of your arms. The spaghetti straps are adjustable so you can comfortably adjust the neckline.
Just like every other outfit I kept the accessories minimal. Sandals from Kmart and a simple gold necklace from Colette.
Every time I look at the dress I see something new. Have you spotted the panther?
